Onboarding
back
Within HR Administration and Applications and Employee Onboarding, you’ll see two tabs, Onboarding and Offers.
Onboarding gives you the ability to filter your view based on the status of tasks. There are a number of ways to filter the employees that show up on your dashboard. For now, we’ll to focus on the outstanding employees.
By default, ExponentHR sorts results alphabetically. To reorder records, simply click the title of the column and it will sort your employees based on that criteria.
On this tab, you can see an employee’s hire date and the candidate’s progress status of assigned activities. The red and green indicates tasks that need attention, both for new hires and internal employees.
EMPLOYEE ONBOARDING DETAILS
By clicking on an employee’s name, you can go deeper into their employee onboarding details. Their information at the top is broken into three sections: New Hire Tasks, Internal Tasks, and Onboarding Documents. Each section gives you more detail about progress and the status of assigned tasks.
Under Actions, within both new hire tasks and internal tasks, you have the ability to change due dates, if you need to extend or accelerate the completion of a task. As an Administrator, you can mark completed tasks. As an Onboarding Coordinator, you can mark it as overdue and send task reminders.
Based on how you set up the template reminders, they will deploy automatically, but you can force reminder notifications to be sent. You can also add or remove tasks from an employee’s template.
The only difference between a new hire and an existing employee is the Reassign a Task option. Available internally, it allows you to reassign a task when responsibility changes.
Either select a different employee from the employee dropdown list or you can add an external owner by submitting their email address.
Under General Actions in Employee Onboarding Details, you’re able to resend an onboarding invitation, reassign whom the coordinator is, cancel it, or complete it early.
If this was a completed onboarding packet for a particular employee, you could reopen the packet or change the template to one the employee automatically became eligible for.
