Task Types

You may have tasks that you want your employees to complete before their first day of work, or there my be activities that cannot be completed until they arrive. The Candidate/New Hire Task tab lets you configure every type of task to meet your specific needs.

 

 

Default Tasks

Every template within ExponentHR Onboarding is automatically set up with three default tasks:

 

Employee Profile

Requests basic employee information like address, social security number, birth date, or custom fields set by you.

 

Employment Eligibility

Asks candidates to complete section 1 of Form-I-9 on or before their start date.

 

Tax Withholdings

Requests candidate’s withholding information. Based on where they live and where they work, ExponentHR will automatically present them with appropriate state tax withholding forms to fill out electronically.

 

Adding Tasks

There are a number of other tasks that you can require employees to complete. To create a new task, click Add Task on the right to see all of the task types.

 

 

Additional Tasks Options

 

Direct Deposit

Employees can provide their direct deposit account credentials so they’re set-up and pre-noted before they begin work.

 

Employee Upload Document(s)

You can ask for proof of specific licenses, certifications, or other types of documentation that you want to maintain in an employee profile.

 

E-Sign Document

Use ExponentHR’s e-signature and acknowledgement capabilities on documents such as employee handbook and policies.

 

Print/Complete and Return

Ask a candidate to fill out forms that you currently include in your new hire package, and return a hard copy.

 

Survey

Send automatic notifications and tasks at pre-determined times. For example, send out a 30-day check-in to new hires asking them about the onboarding process or whether they need anything else to do their job.

 

View Only

You may have information and documents that you need employees to view. View-only tasks can confirm that employees have opened the files in question.

 

Import Task from Other Template

If you find yourself creating multiple templates in ExponentHR, you can create a template once, then import it into your future template configuration setup, avoiding starting from scratch each time.
